The Reserve Bank of India has permitted to sell property for the foreign citizens who belonged to India. In regard to this, whenever there is purchase of property the funds towards buying consideration should be either transferred to India or paid out of balance in the medium of NRE/ FCNR accounts.



The Reserve Bank of India allows rent out any static residential or commercial properties in India. Let it be the rental income or other returns of an investment. Such an income is subjected for reinstatement.


Payment is accepted via rupee-dominated NRO or NRE and FCNR accounts. Loans are made available from any of our Indian Nationalized Banks and privite financial institutions.


In a period of 90 days from the date of purchase, a declaration needs to be filed in the form of IPI7 in connection with Central Office of Reserve Bank at Mumbai. A final payment of purchase consideration is expected to be submitted comprising of a set of verified document evidence of transaction including certificate from the respective bank of the consideration that has been paid.
